We did M3 things today. We hooked up my angel eyes, I shined up my wheel, and we tried (and failed) to fix my wheel rattle.

First, angel eyes.

These were a trip to do. First we ran the wiring for each side together.

In that process I learned my cooling system has been revamped at some point, as shown by the metal radiator with a date stamp of 6/06 on it.

Then we hooked it all up to a relay which my dad wired wrong at first and sent sparks flying when he touched the wire to the positive lead to see if it worked. Oops. After that we hooked it into the green ignition wire so they come on when I'm in start/run and no accessory.

I like them to be honest. They make the headlights seem a bit better too.

After/during us sorting the angel eyes out we took the wheel off to fix the clock spring rattle. The rattle is still there after to tried to sort it so we're just going to order a new one probably. I did that the opportunity to shine up the wheel real good while it was off and change the bulbs in my gauge cluster.

So I cleaned up my rather meh looking wheel and hooked up the angel eyes to improve the lights a bit. They're not exactly what I want but they more than work for now until we sort more important things out.

It was even more disassembled than that at one point.

Now all we have to do is wait for my suspension stuff to get here. A box with my rear mounts and front covers and bump stops has already gotten here. All we need now are the gaskets for the back, the front mounts, and the struts themselves. All which should get here early this week.

Man, I really need to fix my angel lights. I just ordered some new LEDs to put in them, should be here next week sometime. Yours look really warm, are they LEDs or incandescent lamps of some sort?

I think it's just the way I edited the picture, because they look a bit more blue in person. Definitely LED.

My E34 clock spring was noisy too. I just ditched it and put in an aftermarket wheel, though.

I always liked angels eyes. thought i do prefere them to be of the slightly white/blue ish color
